Edit (1/31/2021): Changed the Despised Episode and despised character.

Favorite Character: Meowth
Honorable Mentions: Ash, Max, Misty, Serena, May
Got to love the kitty. :aww: He's how I got into the show itself and by extension, the franchise. Bound for Trouble was the first episode I saw though I've heard of Meowth before so I guess that was just luck. Anyway, yeah I love Meowth. The fact he talks, makes wise cracks towards his partners, and how he has a nice side despite being one of the bad guys, he's just all around awesome. :D

Despised Character: Savannah
Dishonorable Mention: Tommy's parents, Mayor of Trovitopolis, Fantina, Harley, Damien
She was a one-shot character and she was insufferable! She had low self-confidence and looked for the validation from a 10 year old. Of all the times the protagonist loses, I absolutely despise this one. She's the least deserving character to hold a win against one of our favorites. We get to see Drew beat her but she's so sickingly stuck up even then. And her daughter. Annoying as heck. Obviously gets it from her. Yeah, in my opinion, the worst character in the show's run is Savannah. I just hate her. She's one coordinator I'm so glad we never saw or heard from again.

Favorite Season: Pokemon Advanced Battle
Honorable Mentions: Pokemon Advanced, Original series, Advanced Challenge, XY
I think this one had some of the best episodes. We saw May competing in her first Grand Festival, the Hoenn League was this season, last season of the original VAs, and one of my favorite episodes, "Do I Hear a Ralts?"

Despised Season: Sinnoh League Victors (Season 13)
Yes, the Ash-Paul match was great, but that was the only good thing this season. Everything else was garbage.

Overrated Character: Gary Oak
Dishonorable Mention: Paul, Harley, Nando
I'm not really amused with the "Gary Motherfucking Oak" thing. Was kind of lame the first time and he was sort of a lame rival (when his peak was there anyway). He and Ash never really battled until the Johto League if I remember (chunks of Johto are out from me) and so they basically just competed over who had more Pokemon which is kind of lame. Oddly I feel they became fiercer rivals after Ash settled the score, not before.

Underrated Character: Kenny
Honorable Mention: Max
While I do think Max has undeserving hate, what I think had me put Kenny ahead of Max here is, Max got everything he deserves. He set out to travel in Hoenn (and Kanto), meet new Pokemon, and now he's back home working with his dad's gym Pokemon. For Kenny, it seems he's underrated to even the writers!

He starts off as a good rival to Dawn, making her work hard for her first ribbon. Then he appears on the news having received two ribbons. Which is fine, since he's not the focus, we're not going to follow him getting five, but still...two ribbons quickly. Then he doesn't even compete in the Wallace Cup! He, on screen, lost to Jessie, for HER FIRST win in like the show history. Kenny should get like a special for having to do that. :XD: Well, he did get his own episode winning a ribbon, so that's good enough. Then the Grand Festival. I can pull my hair out. Eliminated in the appeals?!!! Ursala made it through, Nando AND Jessie made it to top 4, but Kenny is out in the appeals?! I just...oh my god.

It doesn't end there. He beats Ash after the Grand Festival and in between the Sinnoh League. If the show was consistent (which granted, has only been consistently inconsistent, Kenny could have perhaps made it to the finals in the Grand Festival, or hell, win it...I personally would've had him lose to Dawn in the final four or eight, but give the kid a proper closer damn.) He was shown to do best in the battle rounds.

Favorite Villain: Shamus
Honorable Mention: Butler, Giovanni, Colress
Not really a "villain" per say, but what makes Shamus stand out more than say Giovanni or Maxie is that he seems like the type of antagonist that didn't seem so cartoonish like them. Also, in case anyone wonders how I can like Shamus but hate Damian when Shamus is practically an expy of Damian, it's cause unlike Damian, Shamus didn't lie to Tepig about releasing it. Tepig was just too naive to understand Shamus wanted nothing to do with him, so Tepig's starvation was more on its ignorance than Shamus' cruelty. Also, while Damian seemed a bit intimidated by the trio, when Shamus was confronted by Iris, he just didn't give a fuck. Would've been cool if he was more recurring, I thought he should've won the match with Ash, but win or lose, it would've been cool to keep him around instead of making up new characters for the Unova League.

Also, about Shamus is during BW we saw either goody goodies or hammy rivals, Shamus was a nice change.

Despised Villain: Hunter J
Shallow character. For a character who appeared quite a few times, you'd think there'd be some development or backstory, but she's just a ruthless hunter and that's it. We're all glad she's dead though. They couldn't even come up with a real name for her!

Favorite Movie: Jirachi's Wishmaker
Had good humor, focus on Max was nice especially since it was the first Hoenn movie, and I thought Butler and Dianne were great characters. Enjoyed the romance between them and what led to Butler redeeming. We had better backstory to Butler than we did Hunter J. Jirachi was also a fun Pokemon to star.

Despised Movie: The Mastermind of Mirage Pokemon
Dishonorable Mention: Pokemon Heroes (Note: I didn't see most movies, practically all after the Lucario one up to XY)
This is when the voice changed, the voices sucked, and even though some changed after and some improved with time, it's when I initially quit watching the anime was cause of the horrible voice acting I just couldn't stay with it. I know it's not technically a movie, but I still count it as such. I hate this one so bad. Pokemon Heroes in case you're wondering why is a mention is because I found that one to be the most boring. Again, of what I've watched.

Favorite Episode: Do I Hear a Ralts?
Honorable Mentions: The Stolen Stones, Go West Young Meowth, Bound for Trouble
Favorite Max episode by far and had Team Rocket actually intimidating and competent while putting on a great battle in the middle of the episode. One of those I can definitely watch over and over.

Despised Episode: Last Call, First Round
I hate the Sinnoh Grand Festival. It's the worst arc in the anime and I don't hesitate in naming it the worst, and all four of the episodes are garbage but I'm going to put most blame on the first one. There are minor problems with the episode like putting too much focus on Gible, but let's get to the so called main event of DP (for Dawn). Kenny was one of Dawn's most persistent and long established rivals. They write him off in appeals?!!?! What an absolute WASTE of a well-established character. How this arc would've been an infinite times better if he made it past and had a battle with Dawn, which by the way, would have broken their 1-1 tie they have with each other! Would beat Dawn beating Ursula a third straight time, would've beaten a Nando/Zoey which was really unnecessary and would've beaten a cut for time Jessie/Dawn battle. Really, Dawn and Kenny made perfect rivals and this is one thing I will never forgive the writers. Character derailment at its worse. I can't say it doesn't upset me when people praise this arc as peak Grand Festival. Really? It's the worst. It was awful. Really nothing about it was good. As I said before, it's the worst arc in the whole series and I will stand by it.

I'm sorry but I disagree with you that Dawn and Kenny were perfect rivals because I find Kenny a bit annoying because it pisses me off that he teasing Dawn by calling her "Dee dee" because it was such a traumatic for Dawn because of how she got that nickname. I know that dawn doesn't care that someone calls her "Dee dee" anymore but it still such a dick thing for Kenny to call her that. I'm sorry but I just don't care about Kenny at all because of that.
